Los Angeles based company Generic Surplus has teamed up with ACE Hotel Palm Springs and Steve Harrington for the tri-color Borstal Ace collection. With influences from Southern Californian culture and the unique Palm Springs landscape, the collection incorporates color scheme and textures of mountains, pools and the desert that surrounds the hotel. The shoe is available in sand beige, cool blue and earth and feature a woven cotton upper and rattan mesh. As an added treat Angeles-based visual artist Steve Harrington has added artwork on both the shoebox as well as the insole.

American designer Marc Jacobs goes for a classic, casual look this time around for his Fall/Winter collection featuring items, such as biker and bomber jackets, 5 panel caps and even a skateboard as a decorative piece for the lookbook. Hong Kong skateshop HKIT and skate brand legend Vans recently collaborated on the new  Half Cab Pro “The Last Dragon”, The shoe boasts a black and red colorway with embossed dragon scale pattern and increased cushioning. Kristy Chiu, Vans Hong Kong Marketing Manager said “With our strong skateboarding heritage, Vans is excited and honored to collaborate with such an influential and reputable skateshop as HKIT. Together our goal is to support the local skate community in Hong Kong and encourage individual creativity and self expression.” The Half Cab Pro will be available exclusively at the HKIT Skateshop for $790 HKD (approximately $101 USD).
