Slaughterhouse makes it’s debut on the Billboard charts this week, while the Black Eyed Peas and Maxwell continue to do stong numbers. Black Eyed Peas continue to be in the Top 5 this week they come in at #3 selling close to 45,000 copies and bringing their estimated total to 917,000 units. Maxwell continues to put up some impressive number he comes in at #7 selling for the week 38,000 and brining his estimated total to 631,000. Fabolous slides all the way to #16 with Loso’s Way selling close to 24,000 for the week and 160,000 in total. Eminem continues to Relapse as his latest album comes in #20 for the week with 21,000 copies sold for the week brining his total to 1,362,000 units!!!NICE!!! Slaughterhouse debuts in the charts this week coming in at #26 selling in it’s first week 18,000 units. Next week be ready for Sean Paul to crack in the Top 50 !!!

In this week’s SOUNDSCAN BREAKDOWN, Maxwell keeps a hold atop all R&B/Hi-Hop releases, the Black Eyed Peas stick at No. 6 and new releases from Jordin Sparks and Da Truth land on the charts. Maxwell’s Black Summer’s Night fell one slot to No. 3 this week selling 71,500 units as Lovato Demi’s Here We Go Again earned No. 1 with 107,100 sold pieces. According to Nielsen Soundscan, Maxwell’s comeback album is on the verge of gold-status with 493,500 sold copies after three weeks in stores.

The Blacked Eyed Peas’ E.N.D. (Energy Never Dies) also took a one-slot dip to No. 6 with 51,800. Going into their eighth week on shelves, the Will.i.am-led group have sold a total of 778,600 units.

R&B singer Jordin Sparks Battlefield debuted on the charts this week landing within the Top 10 at No. 7. After seven days of availability, the singer’s new album has sold 47,700 copies.

Grammy-winning rapper Eminem’s Relapse received a two-slot boost moving to No. 11 with 25,300. With just ten weeks under his belt, Slim Shady’s comeback album stands at 1,295,200 scanned discs.

Twista’s Category F5 took an 11-position drop to No. 19 with 18,800. Headed into his third week in stores, the rapper’s EMI/Capitol Records debut rests at 64,200 pieces.

R&B singer Joe’s Signature took a hard hit this week falling 20 slots to No. 27 with 15,200. After two weeks on shelves, Joe’s latest offering has secured 64,300 albums.

“Birthday Sex” singer Jeremih’s self-titled debut slid seven spots to No. 29 with 14,400. With a month under his belt, the singer’s new project has sold a combined total of 122,700 records.

Grammy-winning singer Beyonce’s I Am…Sasha Fierce moved up a slot to No. 33 this week with 12,500. Her third solo release has sold 2,324,100 pieces after 36 weeks in stores.

R&B singer Chrisette Michele’s Epiphany evens things out within Top 50 moving ten slots up to No. 48 with 8,900. After three months on shelves, the singer’s new release has sold 234,000 albums.

Maxwell continues to sell strong in his second week on the Billboard charts, his latest effort “Black Summer’s Night”  sells 72,ooo copies this week to make his total units sold 494,000, very impressive after taking a hiatus of 8 years!!! The Black Eyed Peas are still pushing units with “The E.N.D.” album, they fall out of the Top 5 in charts but manage to sell 52,ooo for the week and in total 779,000. Eminem comes in at #11 with “Relapse” moving 25,ooo units for the week and 1,295,000 in total. Chicago rapper Twista comes in at #19 for the week with 19k sold, his current single “Wetter” is on heavy rotation and in 2 weeks his latest album has sold a total of  64,ooo and on a R&B tip Joe moves 15,000 units this week of his latest album “Signature” which to date has sold 64k. Let’s see what impact Fabolous does next week on the charts!!!

Michael Jackson continues to dominate the Billboard charts once again this week, he has six albums that were in the Top 50. His records will clearly outsell the new releases but they will not appear on Billboards Top 200 official listing because they are more then 18 months old. Jackson’s “Number Ones” album will sell over 337 thousand units topping the charts, his classic album “Thriller” will come in at #3 with 165k units sold, “Essential” will be #5 with 122k sold, and the albums “Off The Wall”, “Bad” and “Dangerous” came in at #11, #28 and #22 respectively. The #1 album in the country ass far as new releases goes was Now 31 selling over 169k, The Black Eyed Peas continue to stay strong as they slide down to the #5 spot with 70k copies sold this week. R&B singer Jeremih made his debut this week with his self-titled album coming at #6 selling 59,000 records. Ace Hood’s second album “Ruthless” debuts at #23 selling close to 20,000 copies. Maino’s “If Tommorow Comes..” finally drops and comes in at #25 selling 18,300 records.Wu Tang’s latest release “Chamber Music” debuts at #49 with less then 10,000 copies sold . The way things are looking, Michael Jackson will be dominating for a few more weeks. RIP MJ

Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas and his security are being accused of handing a bloody beating to Perez Hilton, celebrity gossip columnist. Apparently Perez, started sending messages thru his Twitter that he was being assaulted by Will and his crew outside of Toronto’s SoHo Metropolitan Hotel and wanted to file a police report. Later, Hilton updated his Twitter and said that he had multiple witnesses, had already filled a report to local authorities and would leave the remaining statements to his lawyer. At the press time Will.I.Am has not been charged with any crime.
