So in this new XXL magazine in which Wayne covers he announced that he may be retiring after The Carter IV drops. The reason for his retirement would be to spend time with his family and leave the game on top not when his mojo is gone. Will this be a full retirement or another one of them Too Short/Jay-Z retirement???

Since Def Jam is being honored at this years VH1 Hip Hop Honors for their longevity in the music business, XXL has called on a few artist past and present from the Def Jam era to feature on the cover if the November issue!!! The magazine will be released on October 27th and feature many more articles releated to the Def Jam imprint!!!

Jay-Z graces XXL’s October issue in which he speaks about the current state of hip hop, the making of Blueprint 3 and The Chef’s OBCL@ album.  The magazine hits newstands September 15th !!!

But then when I need [a tape for one of my artists], and you want to charge me $20,000?… I’ll slap the shit out of Drama. He knows that. He wasn’t loyal. But me putting my hands on that man ain’t gonna make him respect what I’m saying. I’m just not gonna fuck with him anymore.
